Everything accumulated is deleted before launch
It is a full wipe, a single one, and it happens before the server launches. There are no exceptions.
What is deleted
- Characters, with their level, items and adena.
- Hope Coins and Silver Hope Coins, including those in the web vault.
- Forum reputation and the buy and sell listings.
- Accumulated streamer rewards.
What is kept
- Your web account and your game accounts: you do not have to register again.
- The reports you have sent.
- Your place in the tester registry.
After launch there are no more wipes. There is no launch date yet.
What this is
HopeChronicles is in pre-alpha: the server is open for testing, not for serious play. You will find bugs, crashes and changes from one day to the next.
Spots
Sign-up on the website has a limited number of spots.
Spots left: 27 of 30.
A spot is taken when the email is verified. If the account has no character within this many days: 7, the spot is freed for someone else; the account is not deleted.
What you get for testing
- Seeing the systems before anyone else.
- Report what you find: every report reaches the team.
- Being recorded as a tester. That record survives the wipe, and we will use it to recognize those who tested when the server launches. The form of that recognition has not been decided yet.
How to be recorded as a tester
With an account with a verified email and at least one of these two things:
- A character of level 20 or higher.
- Having sent at least one report, in game or on the forum.
The registry updates on its own: you do not have to ask for anything.
How to get in
- Create your master account on the website and verify your email with the code we send you.
- In the panel, create a game account. Only game accounts created from the panel are linked to your website account.
- Download the client from the home page, run the updater and log in with that game account.
- In game, look for the Test Assistant in Giran.
Where to test
The hub is Giran: these NPCs are a few steps from each other.
- Test Assistant: raises and lowers your level (up to 85) and sells grade A, S, S80 and S84 weapons, armor, jewelry and cloaks for 1 adena. To level up you need experience gain turned on.
- Hope Shop: the shop for hats, agathions, cloaks, mounts and consumables, plus seven fitting rooms at 1 adena to see a cosmetic on your character before buying it. It is also in the other main towns.
- Kelbim the Instructor: class change.
- Appearance Master: Transmog, to change the look of your gear.
- Silver Hope Bazaar: the Silver Hope Coin shop.
The catalog has two doors. Outfits, shields and weapon skins are not in the Hope Shop: you will find them in the Community Board (Alt+B).
Where to report what you find
- In game: type .bug followed by what you found. It goes straight to the team.
- On the website: the suggestions category of the forum. To post you need at least one character, of any level. Go to the suggestions category
What not to expect yet
- The sale of Hope Coins does not exist yet: they cannot be bought with money.
- Nothing you accumulate is kept.
- Stability: this is a pre-alpha and there may be crashes.
